I went to the Nightlife at Academy of Sciences recently, and was simply blown away by all the displays created to spread awareness of the Green epidemic!

Biodegradable cups for beer!

“REUSABLE COFFEE CUPS - If we all used our own mug, we’d save more than 100 million tons of paper a year.  That’s a lot of trees, and a lot CO2.”

“DISPOSABLE CHOPSTICKS - 100 billion pairs of disposable chopsticks are used and thrown away every year.  You can join the movement to bring your own chopsticks.”

“NIX THE BOTTLE - Americans throw away 30 million plastic water bottles every day.  Use an inline filer on your tap, and a reusable bottle when you’re on the road.” **Especially loving this one!**

“WRAP IT UP - More than 4 million tons of wrapping paper go into U.S. landfills every year.  Use old newspapers, color comics, magazines or pieces of cloth instead.”

My suggestion on the wall!

Yay! I’m conscientious with my carbon footprint!

I want to do this!  Spend a day in a huge, beautiful park in San Francisco and learn about something I’m interested in!  I’ll have to see if I can make it… :D

On this Earth Day 2010, think about the impact that your actions has on this planet.

More specifically, your use of bottled water.

I hope I reblogged correctly =P

I love videos like these =)  These are really awesome tips and really easy to do…

Happy Earth Day! =D

Wanna reduce your carbon footprint but don’t know where to start?  I’ve found the perfect solution!  Okay, I lied.  Michael found the website haha, but I am fully endorsing it!  I love these kind of tips because: A) they’re easy to do B) they apply to our everyday lives and C) it makes me feel accomplished when I can look at a tip and say I already do it! =)

How many of these 50 simple ways to make Mother Earth a better place have you made an effort to do?  So far, I’ve done 38/50… that’s still a C! =(  A few of them don’t apply to me, but there’s a few I’d like to try!  For example, I plan to visit the Davis Farmer’s Market to buy some fresh, local produce!  And I want to pick up some rechargeable batteries soon, because even though I don’t really use them that often, I still feel it would be beneficial in the long run.  One thing I’d eventually like to try is… #8… haha and if you know me, you’d know why =P
